AIG Malaysia Announced First Travel Trend Survey Results - Insurance from AIG in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, 16 January 2014 – AIG Malaysia Insurance Berhad announced the results of its first Travel Trend survey today, revealing that the average cost of travel insurance coverage is 3% of total travel cost*. The survey polled 600 AIG travel insurance customers over a course of 2 weeks.

Other findings revealed travellers are taking up to 3 holidays per year on average with an annual spend on travel ranging RM6,000 upwards*. In addition to this, over 65% of customers who purchased travel insurance cited that feeling protected and having peace of mind were the top two reasons for purchase*.
